Writer’s Workshop
Writer’s Workshop is similar to Reader’s Workshop in structure. A mini-lesson is taught to the class; guided writing takes place through individual conferences and small group instruction, and, meanwhile, students write independently. Writer’s Workshop focuses largely on the process and qualities of good writing, so students may spend up to a month on a single piece of writing.
